Act or Be Acted Upon: Accounting Curriculum and Data Analytics

Course Overview
On the one hand, the role of an accountant is changing: data is proliferating and machines are doing the actual work. On the other hand, accounting curricula at universities have barely changed over the past thirty years. In connection with the Emanuel Saxe Lecture at Baruch College, Prof. Vernon J. Richardson of the University of Arkansas provides his insight on the growing need for, and the increased use of, experiential data analytics in each accounting course.
