Personal Financial Planning: Part 3 (Updated)
Course Overview: This program, along with Parts 1, 2, and 4 of this series, is designed to provide participants with an overview of personal financial planning issues including social security, disability benefits, traditional and Roth IRAs, and tax sheltered annuities. This course also provides an overview of simplified employee pensions plans, k plans, and pension and profit-sharing plans. Learning Objectives: After completing this course, participants should be able to:
Specify the main sources of retirement income for individuals. Identify the ways in which an individual can maximize their social security distributions. Differentiate between the various aspects of Traditional and Roth IRA accounts. Identify the main aspects of 403(b) plans. Define the various requirements with respect to simplified employee pension plans. Identify the key features and requirements regarding 401(k) plans. List the main provisions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974. Differentiate between defined benefit and defined contribution plans.
