Organizations typically focus on external cyber threats, but statistics show that insider attacks occur more than 50 percent of the time and can be a lot more dangerous. Lyle Lieberman, Chief Operating Officer with JANUS Associates, explains the different types of insider cyber threats and describes what you can do to protect against them.

Speaker / Author:

Mr. Liberman is Chief Operating Officer at JANUS Associates. He responsible for overviewing the daily operations within the organization including physical security and corporate real estate. He has 15 years' experience in the security sector, both physical and logical (IT) security. Prior to joining JANUS 10 years ago, he was involved with artificial intelligence software designed to monitor multiple live video feeds, and generate alarms based on user defined activities. This specialized software is currently in use nationwide at government facilities, airports, critical infrastructures, and corporate centers such as The Time Warner building in New York City. Lyle works closely with the FBI's New Haven Cyber Task Force on behalf of JANUS clients, and he is a member of ASIS International, the American Society for Industrial Security, a charter member of the CT Technology Council's Cyber Security Task Force, and a member of the NY NJ Electronic Crimes Task Force, which is a partnership between the US Secret Service, law enforcement, and the private sector.
