Blockchain - What You Need to Know

Course Overview:
What is bitcoin? Is it a currency relegated only to buying hotdogs from technically literate street vendors or reserved only for illicit services on the dark web? Why are investors now calling it "digital gold"? And how does all of this relate to blockchain and distributed transaction ledgers? Although only a curiosity when first launched in 2009, bitcoin and its blockchain technology are now being rapidly adopted by e-commerce systems and bleeding over into general accounting. In this course, you'll learn the basics of blockchain, who is using it now, and how distributed ledger technologies (DLTs) could revolutionize the financial industry.
